CT Community News

Reporting from the Connecticut Student Journalism Collaborative

About

What we do

CT Community News is a service of the Connecticut Student Journalism Collaborative, an organization sponsored by journalism faculty at college and university campuses across the state and supported by local media partners.

Connecticut Community News curates the work of student journalists from colleges and universities across the state with two big goals: Provide coverage of a wide range of under-reported stories and issues that matter to Nutmeggers, and showcase the work of the state’s best emerging journalists.

Our student journalists may also be available to help media organizations cover future events or stories by request. If you would like to know more, or to submit a coverage request, please contact us.

Republication

The stories on this website are professionally fact-checked and edited and are available for republication. If you would like to republish our stories, please follow our policies and instructions.

  • You are a media organization who would like to partner with the collaborative.
  • You are interested in donating to the initiative.

With thanks to our founding sponsor, the Center for Community News at the University of Vermont.

Our election reporting is part of U.S. Democracy Day, a nationwide collaborative in which news organizations cover how democracy works and the threats it faces.

Our New Haven area students are supported by a generous grant from the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven
